I realize that this may be shameless self-promotion but if you can’t toot your own horn on your own blog that appears on your own website then how can you do it?
I have officially released “Never Been This Way” this month with 15 songs, most of which are a bit of a departure from my usual themes. I wouldn’t exactly call it a spiritual journey but maybe an exploration of personal religious beliefs and rituals.
My intention with this collection was not to be preachy but mostly to remind myself to be a better person by loving everybody and counting my blessings. Some involve people who truly walk the walk and serve as good examples. Hopefully these songs will help me be more like them.
Fourteen of the songs are original tunes, some written decades ago. The CD also includes my arrangement of a traditional song “I Wanna Die Easy When I Die” which includes an original bridge section.
The title track can be heard here or on the Hear Some Tunes page of my website. It’s an upbeat song about the joy of finding a soul mate. Most of the tunes are acoustic guitar and piano based, although a few have a harder electric edge.
The album is now available on CD Baby in digital and physical CD form as well as the usual streaming services. I hope you too will be inspired or at least enjoy listening.
